FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Perry and Jennifer's story

Perry and Jennifer
I spent my career as a chef. I went to culinary school and worked full time for most of my life. But several unsuccessful back injuries have left me hardly able to stand, never the less work. My wife Jennifer suffers from a debilitating disability as well. So we’re on a fixed income now, and it can be hard to get by with three children to raise.
We receive food from a local pantry. The food helps get us through the month, and without that assistance I don’t know what we would do. Jennifer and I would certainly go without. And not only us, but so many families – so many children – wouldn’t have enough to eat. It would be devastating.
I’m grateful for the support the food pantry provides. It’s comforting to know that I’m able to feed my family, and consequently, that my children will always have the nutrition they need to reach a better future.
