The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank is one of six Feeding America Food Banks in Arkansas. It is our desire for healthy food to reach the kitchen tables of our neighbors as quickly as possible. We are encouraged by the numbers which reflect this effort.
The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank currently has more than 110 agency partners ranging from food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and many more. In 2023, we distributed more than 14 million pounds of food to those in need through our agency partners, Feed Rogers, Mobile Pantries, and School Pantries.
The Food Bank works to distribute food to those who are food insecure in our community while forming strong relationships with business, non profit organizations, and others in the community who share the passion to end hunger in Northwest Arkansas.
The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank secures donations from the food and grocery industries, government agencies, and other organizations and purchases.
The donated and purchased food is then stored in our 46,000+ square-foot warehouse located in Lowell.
The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank supplies food to our 110+ member agencies and directly provides food through our Mobile Pantry Program.
The 110+ member agencies distribute the food directly to our neighbors in need. Food is also directly provided through our 19 Mobile Pantry Program locations and School Pantry locations each month.
In addition to providing food for many food insecure residents in Northwest Arkansas, the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank operates several programs to reach the most vulnerable in our community.
The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank's Mobile Pantry Program makes 19 stops throughout Northwest Arkansas once per month. Food is available to everyone in need. Premade boxes full of shelf stable products, frozen protein and fresh produce is distributed on a first come first served basis. We look forward to serving you at a location closest to you.
The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank is an equal opportunity provider. For more information about Mobile Pantry contact Hunter.Engel@nwafoodbank.org
We partner with several area schools to provide food to the students and their families that need a little extra help. The food is picked up by the families at the school when they pick up their children- eliminating the need to make an extra trip to a local pantry for food. SNAP Outreach SNAP, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly known as Food Stamps) is a safety net that provides low income families, children and senior citizens with the resources they need to feed themselves and their families. SNAP Outreach services with the Food Bank assists individuals in applying for SNAP benefits and educates individuals on the possible benefits available.
