Fight Hunger Spark Change At The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank
WHAT IS FIGHT HUNGER SPARK CHANGE?
1 in 8 Americans struggle with food insecurity in America, but you can help. Fight Hunger Spark Change gives you the opportunity to be active in the fight against hunger. The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank is one of 200 participating Feeding America member food banks in the country trying to combat food insecurity. In 2019, 232,167,999 meals were secured through this campaign. The 2021 campaign will be running April 5th to May 3rd, 2021. Click below to find out more information.
HERE IS HOW YOU CAN GIVE BACK
DONATE AT THE REGISTER
Walmart cashiers will ask customers to donate or you are encouraged to let them know you would like to donate. Donations can be made in increments of $1, $2, $5 or an amount chosen by you.
If you are checking out through a self check out, click "Finish & Pay" on the register and a prompt will pop up and say, "Will you donate to fight hunger?" From there you are able to choose to donate in increments of $1, $2, $5 or any amount you choose.
All donations made at the register stay local and are donated directly back to the NWA Food Bank.
PRODUCT PURCHASE
This year there are 18 partner suppliers who will be donating the monetary equivalent of one meal for each purchase of participating products at Walmart stores, online at Walmart.com and Grocery.Walmart.com during the campaign.
One item = one meal @ $0.10 per meal (Walmart)
One item = five meals @ $0.10 per meal (Sam’s Club)
