| With
the population of Northwest Arkansas continuing to
grow at a rapid rate, the need for food distribution
services to those facing or experiencing hunger is
increasing. In 2008, the Northwest Arkansas Food
Bank distributed over three million pounds of food
in Benton, Washington, Madison, and Carroll
counties. It is through partnerships with over 100
member agencies that we are able to reach out to
those in need.
The Food Bank is now
a full affiliate of Feeding America, formerly known
as America's Second Harvest. This affiliation allows
the Food Bank to access additional nation-wide
monetary resources and food donations. |
